A two-day workshop titled “Strategic Communications and Reflection for PCVE” was held from April 14–15, 2025, in Abuja, organized by PAVE Network with support from GCERF. It brought together over 40 youth peacebuilders, media professionals, and civil society actors to develop counter-narratives against violent extremism.
The workshop emphasized shifting youth from passive targets to active digital changemakers, using storytelling, creative content (videos, memes), and culturally grounded messages. Participants designed mock campaigns and explored how faith, identity, and emotional connection can promote peace.
Key Takeaways:
- Empower youth through digital training and media literacy.
- Support youth-led content and platforms to counter radical narratives.
- Make communication central to all PCVE efforts.
The event concluded with strategic commitments to amplify youth voices as key drivers of national resilience and peacebuilding.
